Having started his young career in the entertainment industry as a stage actor, Sonny Jay later traded the boards of the West End for the world of pop music, becoming part of The Loveable Rogues at 16.

The three piece band, who in 2012 went on Britain’s Got Talent and finished in fourth place, were subsequently signed to Simon Cowell’s label SYCO at Sony Music and achieved recognition supporting Olly Murs on his 28 date sold out arena tour and Capitals Summertime Ball debut. In early 2015, after the group announced they were taking a break, the 23 year old soon returned to face the festival crowds, reinventing himself as a Capital presenter. Quickly finding new fame with his presenting talent, Jay was honoured with a breakfast slot on the UK’s No.1 Hit Music Station last May, and now works the DJ decks for fellow Capital presenters Roman Kemp and Vick Hope.
